Wizard Configuration

IW Link has created a set of instructional pages that will facilite your configuration.  By following this instructions you will be able to manually configure your computer with out any problems or without the help of professionals.  The first step you must perform is press on Start.  Then select Run from the pop up menu.

1.  Once the Run window has opened;  type inetwiz in the box provided.  Make sure that this word is spell correctly and that all the letters are typed in lower case letters. Then click on the OK.

2.  The next window you should have open is Set Up Your Internet Connection.  Make sure that there is a dot next to the sentence;  Connect using my phone line.  Then click Next

3.  If your next window has the title of Dial Up Connection;   make sure there is a dot next to the sentence:  Create a new dial-up connection.  Then click Next.

4.  The next window you should have open is Phone Number.   Be very carefull on this section and make sure that you select the local area code and local access number are local to your residential area.  Under country name and code you shoud have:  United States of America (1).  Make sure that there is a check mark next to Dial using he area code and country code. Then click on Next.

5. If the next window has the title of User Name and Password;   go ahead and type in your user name and password in the spaces provided.   Remember to type all letters in lower case letters and that there are no spaces between each character.  Then click Next

6. If the next window has the title of Advance Settings;  make sure there is a dot next to Yes.  The click on Next.

7. On the Connection Type window make sure that there is dot next to PPP(Point to point Protocol)  Then go ahead and click  on the Next button.

8. If your next window has the title of Logon Procedure;  make sure that there is a dot next to the sentence; I don't need to type anything when logging on.  Then click on Next.

9.  If the next window has the title of IP Address; make sure that there is a dot next to the sentence;  My Internet service provider automatically assigns me one.

10.You shoul now be on the DNS Server Address;  make sure that there is a dot next to the sentence;  Always use the following:   In the DNS server box  make sure you type the following set of numbers correctly.  Including the periods.

216.98.128.70

Repeat the same procedure for the Alternate DNS server:

216.98.138.70

10. Under the Dial-Up Connection Name,  type iwlink under connection name.

11.If the next window has the title of Set Up Your Internet Mail Account;  Make sure that there is a dot next to Yes.   By choosing this options you will be able to set up your own e-mail account easily,   just follow the continuing istructions.  If you do not wish to set up your e-mail account now,  you can always select No and skip the following steps. After making your selections click on Next.

12. If the next window has the title of Internet Mail Account;   make sure that there is a dot next to the sentence;  Create a new Internet mail account.  Then click Next to continue.

13. If the next window has the title of Your Name;   simply type your real name on the Display Name box provided.   Take note that the name you type here is what will appear every time you send a message.  Then click Next to continue.

14. Your next window should be Internet e-mail Address.   Type your e-mail address correctly on the space provided and then click Next.

15.  If E-mail Serve Names is the next window on your screen;  make sure that you have POP3 inside the box for;   "My incoming mail server is a "  Underneath this section you should have the Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server;  type mail.iwlink.com on the space provided. Then,  type the same thing; mail.iwlink.com on the box provided for Outgoing mail (SMTP) server.  After all of this has been performed go ahead and click on the Next button.

16. If your next window is Internet Mail Logon;  make sure there is a dot next to Log on using.  Then, make sure that your username us corretly spelled and also type in you password in the space provided.  Then continue pressing on the Next button to continue the configuration.

17. If your next window has the title of Friendly Name;  just type in your name once again on the space provided under Internet mail account name.  Then proceed by clickling once on the Next button.

18. If the next window has the title of Set Up Your Internet News Account;   make sure that there is a dot next to Yes.  Then, just simply click on Next.

19. The Next window should be Internet News Account;  make sure that there is a dot next to the sentence;  Create a new Internet news account.  Then click on the Next button.

20. If the next window has the title of Your Name;  just simply verify that your name is correctly spelled the way you wanted it to appear. Then just click on Next.

21. The next window should be Internet News E-mail Address;   make sure that the e-mail address is spelled correctly and that the are no spaces between each word.  Then just simply click on Next.

22. If your next window has the title of Internet News Server Names;  type corp.supernews.com inside the box provided next to News (NNTP) server.  Click Next to continue.

23. If The next window has the title of Friendly Name; type News IWLink in the space provided under Internet news account name and then just simply continue by pressing Next.

24.  If the next window has the title of Set Up Your Internet Diectory Service; make sure there is a dot next to No,  then just simply click on the Next button.

25. On this last page;  click on the Finish button.

26. As a final step; open up the Internet Explorer browser. The next window should appear;  make sure you type in your username as well as your password correctly if they are not type in yet.  If you wish not to type your password everytime you want to log on to the Internet;  put a check mark on the Save password.   IF you don't want this window to appear everytime you want to log on to the Internet; simply put a check mark on Connect automatically and as soon as you double click on the Internet Explorer your computer should dial to the Internet directly.
